Research Teaching Professional
My research studies adaptive and massively parallel computational approaches in communication systems. The main tools are machine learning and neural networks. I have applied them to problems in switching, networking, and wireless. See my resume, research projects, and publications. My group has recently released a version of the ad hoc network routing protocol, DSR. I head the Pecolab, and am part of the DSP/Comm research group. I teach in both EE and Telecom. CU has many courses for students wanting to specialize in wireless systems. I am the GWEC Wireless Educator of the Year for 2003. New ECE students in the DSP/Comm group can get basic course advice here. I have recently taught: I have given 3 dozen invited talks, edited/ reviewed for 2 dozen journals and conferences, and helped organize a number of conferences including:
  • International Symposium on Advanced Radio Technologies (ISART). I am the technical program chair for 2003.
  • International Workshop on Applications of Neural Networks to Telecom (IWANNT).
  • IEEE Radio and Wireless Conference (RAWCON).
