ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The graded project paper, final exam, and HW5 will be available in the ECE office on Tuesday.
  • The solution to the final exam is here.
  • The final exam will cover the course material and the student presentations, with a roughly 50%/50% weighting. The course material-related questions will be short and may require calculations. The exam will be closed book & closed notes. This formula sheet will be provided.
  • The presentation questions are posted at Student Presentations.
  • When you write your paper, avoid use of “we” when you mean “I”. Also avoid using the passive construction (it was measured) when the active is more direct (I measured...). See the AIP Style Manual, and in particular pp. 14-15.
  • Please email me a PDF (preferable) or PPT version of your presentation, to make available to the others (see Student Presentations).
  • Use the guidelines given below to help you prepare your presentation, and the project description to help you prepare your paper.
  • Remember to submit two questions that require short answers which test for basic understanding of some simple aspect of what you presented, and the answers that you are looking for.
  • In preparing your project paper, please be very careful to avoid plagiarism. Because there may be cultural differences as to what is considered acceptable, it is important that you are aware of what is considered acceptable here (see this). Any plagiarism will result in an automatic “F” in the course.
  • Final exam will be Tuesday, May 8, 4:30-7:00 pm
