Opportunities to Visit Campus
Department and College Programs
There are many programs established to encourage visits to the College of Engineering and the Boulder campus. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering participates in many of these. We also encourage prospective students, alone or with their families, to visit us. If the activities listed below do not fit either your needs or your schedule, or if you want to obtain more information, please contact the names at the bottom of this page.
Students in the metro area are especially invited to attend the Capstone Design Expo, held the last week of classes in December and April or May. Students demonstrate the projects they have proposed, designed, and built with their team members over the semester.

An Engineering Open House is held each fall. It is an all-day Saturday event in the fall and is open to high school juniors and seniors along with their teachers, counselors, and parents.
The
Women in Engineering Program hosts an
Engineering
Career Day for high school women who may be interested in engineering
or science careers. It is also a day-long Saturday program, usually in March
of each year.
The Multicultural Engineering Program along with the Women in Engineering Program and the Integrated Teaching and Learning Laboratory sponsor the Success Institute, a two- to five-day summer resident program for Colorado high school students with backgrounds under-represented in engineering colleges and the profession (women of all ethnicities, African American, Native American and Hispanic students, and first-generation college-bound students).
CU-Boulder Programs
A number of opportunities have been organized for prospective students to visit and obtain information about our programs. The Be a CU Student for a Day program is a popular way to get a great deal of information while touring facilities and even attending a class, if desired. The CU Summer Sampler Program is popular as well. Campus Visit Programs and Tours offer several other opportunities to visit campus.
